Take A Moment...

One Of...

One of the resident quendas who was nibbling on something tasty near one of their preferred hiding places, makes for great photos. When the quendas first appeared in the garden, I was really surprised at how swiftly they move. Having an established understory for them to dash to is imperative in keeping them safe. The are really beneficial for improving soil quality and seed dispersal.
Their conservation status is near threatened, so I am so blessed to have a a little colony of them living in the garden...

Picnic Terrain...

Picnic Terrain was a really interesting exhibition I viewed recently at the Mundaring Arts Centre.
There were some absolutely fabulous pieces.
From napkin rings to platters, all unique, colourful and quirky...

Two Birds...

Two Birds was a wonderful little discovery on my walk in Darlington. I had never heard of it before and it's been open for several years. There were all sorts of treasures, from hand made jewelry and sculptures, art of various kinds and much much more.
It's definitely a place I will keep in mind when looking for gifts in the future...

Back To Darlington...

Back to Darlington, this time for a little meander along the bush trail. The sculptures of the kangaroo paws are new since the last time I came here. Really love the stained glass in each piece, such a dramatic addition.
Plenty of flowers were blooming, which meant plenty of bees buzzing.
There's an old set of wooden steps which are apparently called McDonald Steps, I was unable to find any reference to these on the internet, but maybe linking it in when I post it might lead to something...
