Wildflower Hunting...

Wildflower hunting was what I had planned for today, heavy rain however saw the search for blooms cut short.
Still there were quite a few early blossoms beautifying the bushland already.
Wildflower season here begins mid-August through to November.

It is known as the biggest wildflower show on earth with more 12,000 species of plants displaying their blooms.
Each year I discover a new specimen or two which will stop me in my tracks, although having said that, all flowers are exceptional to me...
