There's Nothing...

There's nothing more relaxing than a stroll around Lake Leschenultia, whether I take the 4 minute drive or walk it always leaves me completely satisfied. At this time of year there usually aren't many ducks around, they are busy nesting in hollows in the surrounding bush or neighbouring properties.
This particular day I was greeted by a lone chick, patiently waiting as it's parent dove for food. Further along I noticed a few more ducks and coot casually drifting upon the water.

Bees were in abundance, I will often pause to watch bees, I find it hypnotic following their lazy dance from flower to flower. These particular bees don't buzz as they busily harvest, silently they float along.

Butterflies will also halt me in my tracks. Is there a more exquisite being than a delicate butterfly? Some are wildly vibrant, others a little bland, all are delicate magical beauties.

I noticed some fringed lily's along the way, plus several species of native orchids, the blue orchids are especially lovely, mind you, so are the soft hued purple ones.

I noticed some furry seed pods which I am fairly sure I've failed to notice before.
Australian plants often have peculiar seeds and seed pods, but given the extraordinary flowers this particular part of Australia has, it's completely understandable...
