Parallel Paradigms..

Parallel Paradigms is a small exhibition on at the Midland Art Centre, it features creations from DADAA art workers and the artists with disabilities they work with.
I found it really quite an interesting exhibition, many of the pieces were rather spectacular...

This Swamp Lily...

This swamp lily isn't a native of western Australia, but is found over on the east coast. I hadn't come across one before, I would love to add one to my frog pond though if I can locate some seeds. It would add a touch of elegance to the surrounds of the pond as the flowers are simply superb...

Asking For Help...

Asking for help didn't seem a problem for this adorable boy. He'd escaped from his home and came to the door while I was at work this morning, he sat there making funny little barks, with big brown eyes pleading for assistance.
I feel like he knew I could help him, so of course I did.
He was so full of energy and kept dashing out on the road and running around in circles on the front garden. He was definitely taking advantage of this walk around the neighborhood, he was thoroughly enjoying his freedom with not a care in the world.
But he was also in danger as he had zero road sense, there were a lot of cars, some speeding all oblivious to a joyous puppy on a fun day out.
I could see a disaster happening so I called him off the road and phoned the rangers.
While I was giving them all the details I got off his collar, he took several baths in the pond, which gave him the most unpleasant odour, as well as covering him in stinking mud.
Then he sprawled out on the settee on the front porch, giving me a cheeky side eye and demanded belly rubs.

Of course I obliged until the ranger arrived to escort him home, by then I was muddy and stank like smelly pond water too.
A random encounter with a beautiful soul, it totally made my day...

One Of The Quendas...

One of the quendas nibbling on leftover seed and oats was oblivious that I was watching. I was virtually standing right next to her, and she didn't see me. Their eyesight really isn't the best, as long as I step softly I can get right next to them.
I have a feeling this one has joey's in her pouch as her tummy kept moving. I will know soon enough as they don't stay in the pouch long. Pregnancy duration is 12 to 15 days, there's usually 2 to three joey's. The joey's stay in the pouch for around 53 days and are weaned between 60-70 days...
