A bit of respite was enjoyed yesterday from the heat, and I enjoyed a meander around Tomato Lake. Clouds at one point covered the sky and a cooling wind blew. It was so refreshing. Changes in the area was apparent, especially with the sightings of more birds that have been absent during the hotter months, a sign that that the seasons are shifting.
The banksia flowers are beginning to bloom, which meant that many birds were drawn to the nectar calling them back from wherever they have been.
Since my last visit the lake, it was not as busy with nesting birds, there was a quietness surrounding the lake. A long and therapeutic walk was enjoyed, it was therapy for the soul...
