LAND ((WORD)) JOURNEY is an exhibition currently on at Midland Junction Arts Centre. Five artists offer their reflections on language with a collection of art and poetry.
Unfortunately, the first few images failed to capture the exquisite work in the first three photos. Sheer fabric so delicate covered with writing done with fine copper wire by artist Tineke Van Der Eecken. As I said, exquisite.
My next favourite pieces were the silk creations, which are equally outstanding by Lakshmi Kanchi.
Obviously, I also admired the other works. But the fabric creations were definitely in a class of their own...
