A Wander...

A wander around a little park in Ellenbrook, this park serves as a public green space and play area. These days here, building blocks for new homes are tiny. Houses squashed up to each other with little room for privacy.
It is interesting though, that parks in this area although beautiful and inviting are always empty. Even on the odd occasions when I am down in the suburbs on a weekend, parks are not being used. Humans it seems have forgotten how healing nature is, with the trend here with a having no gardens in most new homes, many choosing the awful options of plastic grass or brick paving as their "garden."
It boggles my mind that many people never connect with the earth. There's always a floor or a pair of shoes between them and the earth, they don't realise how healing and rejuvenating being barefoot or having your hands in the dirt is...
