I Found Myself...

I found myself back down in the city earlier in the week, once again near Derbal Yerrigan/Swan River. This time though I crossed over to explore a couple of little lakes. There weren't as many water birds as I expected, yet the area is quite pretty.

I was delighted to see several chicks out on the water being cared for by doting parents. The highlight however was noticing a swan on her nest. I will have to revisit to see the cygnets. It's takes between 35-45 days for the eggs to hatch. Seeing I don't know how long she's been on her eggs, I am not quite sure when to return.

When I crossed back over the road, theres another more natural environment that's been cultivated. I didn't have as long to look around here, but I  intend to revisit when I come back to view the cygnets...
