Do What...

Some Photos...

Some photos from Lake Leschenaultia taken at the beginning of October, I haven't been to lake since. Presently it's too hot for afternoon walks, and I am lazing in bed longer in the mornings. Summer is draining and I tend to hibernate, I am a winter person keeping warm is so much easier than trying to keep oneself cool.
Going through the photos and seeing how glorious nature is in the cooler months has me yearning for autumn to arrive. Already little shifts are appearing, nights a slightly longer and cooler and buds are appearing ready to flower when the autumnal weather arrives.
Autumn is a very colourful season here, but not for the turning of the leaves. It's when the native plants begin to blossom, it begins a wave of colour that begins in autumn and ends in spring.
It's inspired me to go and visit the lake again, perhaps on the weekend if it's not too hot...

Two New...

Two new sculptures appeared outside Martin Jaine Sculpture Gallery in Guildford recently.
The octopus is a marvelous creation, I love how fluid the piece appears. I also enjoy seeing what sorts of  old metals and other bits and pieces end up being used in the creation of each piece. It's definitely a case of someone else's trash has become anothers treasure.
The canon, although creative, is paled in comparison to the octopus.
In fact, the octopus is probably one of my most favourite of all of the sculptures I've seen here...
