The Sight Of.................

The sight of a brighter Blossom greeted me yesterday, and although she was still quite weak when she returned home from the vet, we finally crossed the last hurdle.............. She ate. Thanks to Louise, (Blossom's cat sitter,) Blossom has had her first meal since Monday morning. Louise's cat Cricket has also been poorly and the only way that she could coax him to eat was to use a syringe to get the food down, like Blossom he was showing signs of interest in the food, yet would not actively eat it on his own. At this stage anything was worth a try, after two syringe fulls of one of Madame's favorite foods, she started eating on her own. Granted it is only a small amount, but it was a start. She only woke once during the night, which was another positive sign and woke me up this morning, speaking, purring and tapping me on the face, you have no idea the joy I felt, pulling her close so I could hear her purring, feeling blessed for this miraculous change.......... Still in need of her morning face wash, she was licking her lips after her breakfast, again she needed a couple of syringes of food before she ate on her own, as she began to settle down in front of the fire I felt a huge relief washing through me. After a harrowing week, this is not a sight that I thought I would see this morning, but one that I shall be eternally grateful for...........

With our next visit to the vet this morning at 8am I have a much more optimistic outlook on the outcome, Blossom it appears has fought her way back from the brink once again, to stay with me awhile longer.................
