Birds, Flowers And Quendas...

Birds, flowers and quendas give my garden a special sense of enchantment. From moment to moment the charm of the garden subtly shifts. Being surrounded by so much colour and beautiful scents truly brings a fascination to me, each time I step out into this vibrant private realm. With some plants flowering for the very first time, to old favourites whose blooming is something I look forward to each year, each day is magical.

With the arrival of the quendas, I am now planting more plants that will give them a secure understory to dash to when needed. Parts of the garden are already a secure haven for these delightful marsupials, other areas I am nurturing into bushy hideaways. Sadly, my rabbit family has disappeared, that has weighed heavy on my heart. As the seasons shift, so do the flowers that bloom. Different species of birds and insects are attracted to various flowers, so I am never lost for something to stimulate my soul. As spring slowly moves towards summer I am making the most of this gentle time of year...
