With A Bit Of...

With a bit of fancy footwork and a great deal of determination, this raven finally obtained it's treat. Mind you, I don't think that caffeine is particularly healthy for ravens. Having seen the skill in which the raven cut a hole in the lid, I doubt very much this was it's first takeaway coffee...








 

Muddy Creek...

Muddy Creek was a surprising discovery next to the CASM car park. Not having been to this part of Mandurah before it was definitely a feast for my eyes after the 112 kilometer drive to get here.
I took a few minutes to unwind after the hour and a half drive, tuning in to the quite of this little oasis.
 Mandurah is a coastal suburb south of the Perth CBD, and not a place I go very often, but after my recent visit at the beginning of the month, I have a feeling I might be venturing this way a little more frequently...

Another Unexpected Gift...

Another unexpected gift keeping with the bee theme that wove it's way into my life late last year.
They are garden ornaments, but the sun is so incredibly harsh here in Western Australia that I think that I might keep them indoors.
They are actually a great representation of how I view nature, constantly in awe...

 

Djoowak Moordidjabiny...

Djoowak Moordidjabiny is a fascinating exhibition recently opened at The Midland Junction Arts Centre.
I stopped in yesterday and I have to say, the first sculpture stopped me in my tracks.
Oldie Face Great Southern Noongar, made from palm fronds and branches is exceptional. When I changed my vantage point, so did the expression on the face.
I always love exhibitions from the Yamaji and Noongar artists. More often than not there's deep heartfelt messages entwined with each piece...
