Last weekends garden photos have taken their time to appear, I seem to have so many things to share, so am trying to limit how many adventures I share each day.
August is the beginning of Djilba, season of conception. The Noongar peoples have a cycle of six seasons, unlike the traditional four in European cultures.
Djilba is represented by the colour pink as it symbolises the plants flowering season. Birds are beginning to nest, the second rains begin. Nights are cold, and the days become a little warmer.
Today is a vast contrast to the same time last Sunday with thunder and lightning keeping me snuggled in bed as rain lashes down.
It's truly a glorious day.
Perhaps the sun will make an appearance later and I will venture out to embrace this wonderful cleansing day...
