An Extremely Friendly...

An extremely friendly ringneck parrot flew down to sit on my car door yesterday as I parked up at John Forest National Park.

Obviously used to food from other park visitors, which is a bit of a worry, as most people feed birds unhealthy human foods. Which is dangerous for wildlife. And despite signs advising people not to feed the birds, people still do. Especially bread, which is toxic to birds, it leads to malnutrition and digestive disorders.

Although its lovely having up close and personal interactions with wildlife, if it comes with serious health consequences for the creatures, it isn't as magical as it should be...
