Flowers in my garden are very few at the moment, although with the cooler weather approaching I have noticed there are many buds coming on so many other plants so I am expecting a colour burst in the next few weeks.
My red Robyn Gordon grevillea flowers most of the year and is feeding an ever increasing amount of honey eaters that live in or visit the garden daily.
And the stunning red capped gum tree is simply amazing, the red caps hide the exquisite yellow flowers until the colourful stamens push up to pop the caps off.
However this year the flowers are only at the top of the tree which over the course of the summer has reached a height of maybe 4 metres or more.
Another year round flowerer are my two moonlight grevillea trees.
Forever providing pollen and nectar for the bees and birds, these are perhaps the busiest trees year round in the garden.
And last but not least the glorious blooms of the yucca trees, like the red capped gum these beauties are far too high to really enjoy as the yuccas now tower above me and are home to some of the smaller birds who live in the garden.
