'Life is but a dream weaving its way through our moments, creating challenges we require to transcend the shackles that we imprison ourselves with'

An army somewhere in the world is at this exact moment investing in uniforms that change colour with their surroundings and also have the ability to be undetected by night vision weapons. Have they considered peace as an option? I was dumbstruck, after all the atrocities that wars have inflicted upon humanity, when will the vast majority see that we are all apart of the same race, the human race. Whatever our skin colour, we are all planetary kin, when will the power hungry government, mining, and banking bigwigs learn that all life is sacred, that all war is barbaric, no matter what flag is flying.
We have become numb to the violence of war, of terrorist attacks, for those of you who watch TV, read the newspapers and magazines, listen to the radio you will know that you are bombarded with images of mass destruction and bloodshed daily from the media, in fact we all know gruesome and violent stories sell, it is what they call NEWS! What is it that draws you to read about such things? The suffering of other people, judging someone because of what a journalist has written, whether it is true or not, the point is always about selling the story, whether or not all the facts are correct is neither here nor there, the powers that be want the hatred to continue, how are they going to make money or news in a peaceful world? Being a media free person I hear about events that happen weeks after the event, in most cases I will never know at all, some say that I am shutting myself off from the 'real' world, that I should know what is happening around me, however I strongly disagree. I do not want to hate someone because of their religious beliefs, colour of their skin, their sexual preferences or for their country of origin.
This planet has had enough brutality, it is time for humanity to rise above the power of the warmongers and finally make the transition into peace. Perhaps if more of us stopped buying all this media garbage, failed to tune into the nightly news, it would assist this change to occur, take away the power from the corporations who thrive of blood and murder to make their fortunes, thus paving the way for worldwide peace.

not going to happen tho....it really too simplistic to hope that not paying any attention to the media will change the world...besides a lot of wars especially in Africa amongst themselves don't have that much access to western media..they go along with their bosses or belief systems...rather like you I very rarely watch the news or read a paper...but do have radio 4 topical mostly...tuning in mentaly to what is important and what is not is the the key I think...
I know that some wars like the ones in Africa don't have the media to stir things up, they do however have very powerful people behind the scenes, to make sure that the troops are all fired up, the hatred has to burn deep into the core of each fighting man, it is all about control, control with the wrong sort of people pulling all the strings.........until the masses push for peace............
