After getting up at 3am and spending three and a half hours uploading all the photos off my memory card, I vowed I wasn't going to take any more photos. Until all the others have been posted.
Well, that thought lasted only a couple of hours.
It is a delicious day of thunder, howling winds and wonderful drenching rain.
Perfect weather for a walk.
Even now, as I sit thawed out and dry once again the grin simply will not leave my face.
The lake is overflowing, which it has not done for several years.
The cascade is running as the overflow rushes downstream.
The two beach areas are now nearly completely underwater. Even the tracks I normally use are underwater in parts as the lake has breached its banks in many parts.
Thankfully I purchased a decent pair of wellington boots a year ago.
That means I can still happily traipse along my normal route with the added fun of splashing through a few puddles.
It is an absolutely glorious day.
Another 30ml of rain expected this afternoon, which means more fun for me tomorrow...
