Peek-a-Boo

Peek-a-boo Charlie....

Because.........

Because these are the most amazingly otherworldly flowers I have in my garden I just had to share them again.
If only I could speak to the architects of this planet and actually ask them what were they thinking when they came up with this creation.

From the way the buds sit on the branches to the slow unfoldment of the flowers themselves, this is truly a unique and fascinating plant.

Nature has always inspired me with her breathtakingly wonderous plants, insects and creatures, what she bestows is beyond anything a human can create, from the tiniest seeds such an array of beauty grows.

In a society where distractions are designed to keep us away from what is real and truly important I find myself slipping further away from mainstream society as it becomes more dysfunctional.

Knowing I see the world vastly different from the millions that walk this world around me is not easy, if I may in my lifetime succeed in opening even one closed heart to remember the importance of loving this planet then I would be happy.

Life does not make sense to me here on planet earth, it never has since I was old enough to wonder at why I found myself here in the first place.
I have never understood the destruction and cruelty the human race causes to other beings that share this world.
I certainly do not feel that humans are as intelligent as they like to imagine they are not when the one thing that ensures our survival is treated with such disrespect.
What I have always struggled to understand is why do other humans not listen to the plants and animals as I do?
Why is it they can not truly hear?
Why can they not really see?

It's like I am surrounded by robotic humans who can't see that without this planet and all the beings that share this world we would have nothing.

Will those in charge be happy when they have destroyed absolutely everything?

Every being plays an important role in the balance of this planet,  that is why they were here in the first place, we have lost many species already to extinction and yet that does not stop the bulldozers and dynamite from destroying more.

I do not understand a species that refers to themselves as intelligent yet they will blow up this beautiful earth.
I do not understand the flattening of the forests and jungles.
The polluting of the waters.
The total disrespect of this beautiful orb who continues to sprout life even though she must suffer from the horrors that are done to her and her beautiful creations.
For if she creates such beauty surely she must feel it's destruction.

Without her we would not exist, I think so many have forgotten this.

Once humanity has destroyed everything that is the way of so called progress, it can not be recreated, it will be gone forever.
I will continue to honour and love this bountiful earth, who gives herself freely for all to share by nurturing my little bit of her I am lucky enough to take care of.

We are simply caretakers, not owners

We should remember that after we all rest in the ground or our ashes blow in the wind she will still be here, well at least I trust she will.
Many walk outside and never see anything, others complain of the noise of the birds as they sing and talk.
There are those who surround themselves with plastic grass and concrete their disconnection is the greatest as they never ground themselves in the earth and feel the energising pulse of our glorious earth mother.....

At First Glance....

At first glance I assumed that Charlie and Nala were enjoying a adorably cute cuddle moment, until I realised that Charlie was wanting his favourite chair back.
He slowly squirmed into his sister and bunny kicked her off the chair and within moments he was in blissed out kitty heaven...…..

We Could......

We could all take a leaf out of Charlie's book.

Take the simple pleasures in life and really embrace them.

As the sunshine peeped through the clouds on an overcast and cold day, Charlie took the hint and went to enjoy the rays of sunshine as they beamed into the house warming up the chill for a moment.

Clearly a luxurious and decadent experience Charlie was completely in the moment focused only on enjoying the NOW......

Nala....

Nala has decided that playing with water was a pretty interesting way to spend her time, until she figured out that she could drink water a paw full at a time......

Cat Logic.....

Cat logic according to Nala.
Why sleep on any of the many fluffy cosy chairs and beds when you can drag a shopping bag next the fire...….

Returning To.....

Returning to Bells Rapids for a walk after the winter rains finally arrived.
It was only 25 days since I last ventured here and walked along the middle of the mostly dry riverbed thinking as I walked that the yearly white water race may not go ahead this year due to the lack of water.
Seems I was mistaken!
After a few days of torrential rain the river is running fast, furious and dangerous.
After having walked the river bed and seen what lies beneath there is no way I would consider coming along this stretch of the river any other way than on foot.....
