Several Weeks Ago...

Several weeks ago I visited AQWA the large aquarium down on the coast. The aquarium gives visitors a view of life beneath Western Australian waters. I found the main aquarium rather depressing, the sharks in particular seemed to lack any spark I didn't stay there very long as I felt a very gloomy vibe.
I did however find the small aquarium really vibrant and full of life and colour. One banded butterfish kept coming up to observe me as I was observing it. The interaction went on for around 45 minutes, I left smiling after that.
The mural at the entrance as well as two impressive photos of stingrays were really great.
I also took a couple of shots outside, looking out across the Indian Ocean and back towards the coast...

The Long Awaited...

The long awaited blooming of my artichoke flowers has finally begun. Glimpses of a beautiful mauve is now seen on the largest of the flowers. It's going to be a draining 39 degrees today so I've given the garden a good soaking. Whilst up in the back of the garden I caught a brief look at my newest garden inhabitant. A little bunny. All creatures it seems are smelling the water bowls and coming in for a drink, and staying it appears.
It's lovely having such an array of wild animals, bird's and insects frequenting my little slice of Gaia...
