Wow Does Not Come Close...............

Wow does not come close to defining what I felt being so close to these wild, free, beautiful beings. These gentle giants danced through the water with a grace that seems impossible given their size.
Their elegance and serenity oozed from them as they cruised past our boat checking us out, perhaps enjoying the encounter as much as we were.
Trying to look and to also photograph them proved to be a challenge, I was so enthralled that I kept forgetting to click, I just wanted to savour each second as it ticked by, wishing that the day would never end.
Silently they appear as if from nowhere, we were scanning the water, eyes darting all over as they silently watched from beneath the safety of the ocean. We saw about seven in total, and there was a baby too, but her mother kept her in between herself and another whale, just close enough to look at the funny humans on the boat taking such a keen interest in her. To have been alone on such an encounter would have been perfect, to sit in the stillness of such a holy moment would have been bliss. In a world age where we have the capacity to understand that all animals, whether they are land or sea dwellers live in societies, why is it thousands of people still cause such wide scale bloodshed? As I stood and watched, tears streaming down my face at the sight of such benevolent creatures I felt that I cried for them all, each and every one that has lost their life, or a loved one that they were unable to save at the hands of mans savagery. Just below the surface, hidden from immediate discovery they watched as they left. What is it they think of us? Do they send us compassion for the atrocities that has befallen their race? Do they pray for an ending to their suffering? Do they hope for their home to become a peaceful paradise once again? I sent prayers of love and of healing to these incredible beings, I was humbled by their presence and touched by their love as it radiated from them with the intensity of the sun. I just hope that I was not the only one who truly felt their amazing energy. That amongst the others who shared my morning were those who felt the gift of love enter their heart.......................
