An Amazing Day.................

Yesterday at work I had an amazing morning, two encounters with a couple of native beings that had me buzzing for hours................. First I came across a Bobtail Goanna who was hiding among the pots I was moving, as I looked down I felt his vibrations to send me on my way. The amazing thing was that I not only felt the vibrations emanating from this little fellow, but I saw them too. What a moment, trying to describe it is not going to do it justice at all, I know that no amount of words can convey what happened, I will give it a go though! They where like ripples on a pond, only in energy form rather than in water, coming towards me in the same fashion, absorbing straight into my body. I felt the calm but firm message from this little goanna to go away, it was as if he was speaking directly to my soul. What a blessing indeed........... Next along came a Willy Wagtail, a favourite bird of mine, they are chirpy cheeky little things who always flit about in a gay manner. As I was busy splitting some plants in my little potting shed on the hill one came in and landed above my head and started merrily chirping away. I looked up and began whistling and talking back to her, which made the little bird talk all the more. On and on we went having a deep and meaningful conversation for around twenty minutes when she gave one final chirp and off she disappeared into the distance. The Aboriginal myth of the Willy Wag tails I feel is beautiful, read and judge for your self. When you see a Willy Wagtail dancing near you and making its twit-twit call, it is either bringing you news of a visitor or giving you a special message. They are also known as the Web Weavers - catching the spirit of a loved one and helping it ascend to the heavens. When you hear the Willy Wagtails singing and see them shaking their tails, they are spinning a web to catch the spirit of a loved one. I wonder what message this little gem was passing on to me???? Life is so incredible, I take the time consume as much of the magic around me as possible, the deeper I go within the core of my Self, the more profound my experiences.....................

I love encounters with wild creatures! I have never seen a willy wagtail, but that picture is adorable!

I have a very popular bird feeder off our little back patio, and I just love peeking out at the birds, and hearing them fuss at each other through the window. There is a particular male Cardinal who stops by frequently, as well as a young male American Robin (his head feathers are still delightfully dark and scruffy-looking).

I love all my visitors, but those two stand out because they are so easily identifiable. I hope they find mates and bring their spouses and children by, as the sparrows did last year. Very few things are as cute as fully-fledged-but-still-obviously-young birds hopping around on the patio, trying to get a parent to feed them when they could just flit over to the feeder and help themselves! Little slacker birdies :~D
