Alas...................

Alas, not too many humans see the Earth as something to save, nurture or more importantly love. She gives us life, we give her death, pain and sickness. It weighs heavy upon my heart to be a part of the human race with it's greedy ways, the complete disregard of the animals and plants of our world. I do my part to love her, my dearest Mother Nature, all the gifts she bestows upon us, from the humble ant to the tallest tree, I adore and love them all, no harm do I willingly cause another part of this glorious planet, I feel the depth of her suffering and I ache for her to heal.......

Your first photo is so interesting as it is in the shape of a heart--and so appropriate to your words of loving our planet. Very nice.

It almost seems like we will have to each save our selves in order to save the earth. As we release tension in our bodies and our minds, our neighbors will find more room to breath and will also dissolve old patterns of behavior, thereby creating a deepening respect and love for the self. And by loving the self we will love those around us because we will discover they are us. And if we love us we will love the earth, because the earth too is us. We can do this from the bottom up...a grass roots movement to ease up on ourselves. A mirror for each of us to take a good look at our behavior, our habits, and our emotions. Love will surely restore us and the earth to a harmonious union.

Is this the Isla de Corazon, near Bariloche, Argentina? If so, when did you go? It is a beautiful place. I visited last January. Amazing photos. Thank you.

It weighs heavy to be part of the human race sometimes for me too...though in doing so..I feel I am giving up on us to some extent..so I try not to give it too much thought and I focus of the beauty of nature all around me..and I hope! Love your blog.Marlene

I love that heart-shaped island in the middle of the lake.
