Pink and Grey Galah's...........

These pink and grey galah's are one of my favourite birds (don't tell my crows!)
These birds are a common sight all over Australia, except in Tasmania.
They live in flocks of 30 to 1000 birds and it is so incredible to see a flock fly over head. They live in trees and nest in the hollows that the old gum trees provide for them, their cheeky babies can been seen peeking out of their snug havens in spring..........................
They eat grass, grass roots, crumbs, fruit, nuts, oats and wheat so they gather most of their food from the ground after the ripened seed has fallen. They are really comical, they have a funny little walk, like they have pajama pants on that are too big for them, and they are forever chattering to each other as they enjoy their natural treats.......
I can sit for hours and watch them eating and playing, time flies past as I am enchanted by the innocence of these delightful birds, so happy at peace and free.............

I've never seen them roam around so beautifully. They are so free and happy, isn't it?

I adore cockatoos! My mother has an umbrella 'too, and he is the sweetest bird alive.
